Panerai Wall Clocks

Before dive watches were fashion, they were equipment. Every Panerai wall clock in this collection channels the Radiomir design language — the cushion case, the sparse oversized numerals, the instrument-first legibility built for naval divers who read time in murky water.

Three focused editions, all in our 35 cm steel-and-glass build, all with a working date wheel — the only brand collection in the atelier where every single clock carries a real complication. If your taste runs to military restraint over jewellery shine, you have found your wall.

Why order from Clocks Atelier?

We are an independent design studio specialising in watch-inspired décor. A tool-watch design lives or dies on execution — so we execute.

01

Unique pieces

Radiomir-style dials at wall scale — a niche most décor makers never touch, finished with the sparse, high-contrast detailing the design demands.

02

Worldwide shipping

Tracked international delivery on every order. Destinations, timings and the returns process are on the shipping and returns page.

03

High-quality materials

Premium 304L stainless steel cases and tempered glass fronts on all three editions — a military design built like the instrument it honours.

04

2-year warranty

Two years of cover on the movement against manufacturing defects. Full terms on the warranty page.

05

Fair prices

One price across the collection — the three editions differ in colourway, not in cost, so you choose with your eyes rather than your calculator.

Three editions of one idea

The Radiomir look is deliberately spare — which makes each variation matter more.

Edition 01

Silver Seal

Silver bezel over a black instrument dial — the classic contrast, and the edition that reads most clearly across a large room. The all-rounder of the three.

Edition 02

Seal Silver Orange

The same silver-over-black formula with an orange signal accent — a nod to dive-equipment colour coding, and the one piece in the collection with a pulse of colour.

Edition 03

Black Seal

Full blackout: black bezel, black dial, and a small-seconds sub-dial at nine o’clock in the classic Radiomir position. The stealth edition, and the collector favourite.

Born underwater, at home on a wall

The Radiomir language predates almost everything we call a dive watch. In the 1930s, Italian naval commandos needed instruments they could read in black water, and the answer was radical simplicity: a cushion-shaped case, four oversized numerals, bare hands, nothing on the dial that did not help. It was never meant to be styled; it was meant to survive.

That purity is exactly what translates to a wall. Most decorative clocks add ornament to fill 35 cm; this design earns the space by subtracting. The result reads modern from across the room — closer to good industrial design than to décor — and its restraint is what lets it live in rooms where a gold complication dial would shout.

The collection honours the language rather than costuming it. No fake patina, no invented colourways — just the silver-on-black instrument contrast, one controlled orange accent, and a blackout edition with the small-seconds at nine o’clock where the originals wore it. The working date wheel is the one modern addition, and it is a functional one — in the spirit of a design that never carried anything without a job.

If your taste was formed by field gear, aircraft instruments and things built for purpose, this is the wall clock that will still look right to you in twenty years.

The working date — and what is decorative

Every clock in this collection carries a working date wheel with automatic date change — a real, functioning complication, not printed artwork. In a range where most special dials are decorative by design, that makes the Panerai-style collection quietly practical: mounted by the door or over a desk, it answers the two questions you actually ask a wall.

Honesty on the rest: these are decorative clocks, not dive instruments. The bezel does not rotate, the clock is not water resistant, and the marker styling — drawn from the luminous instrument dials that made the originals famous — is a look, not a glow-performance promise. We would rather tell you here than disappoint you at unboxing.

Where the Radiomir look belongs

Rooms 01

The study and the workshop

Sparse numerals and a working date make this the most functional wall in the range — equipment aesthetics for rooms where things get done.

Rooms 02

Masculine interiors

Leather, dark wood, canvas and steel — the Radiomir language was born on naval gear and sits naturally among it. The Black Seal in particular disappears into a dark wall until the light catches the bezel.

Rooms 03

Entryways

Time and date at a glance on the way out of the door — the one spot in the house where the date wheel earns its keep daily.

Rooms 04

The tool-watch wall

Hang one beside our Submariner-inspired dive dials or an Explorer-style piece — three schools of tool-watch design, one 35 cm centreline.

Choosing between the three

  • Maximum legibility: the Silver Seal — contrast that reads across any room.
  • A controlled shot of colour: the Silver Orange — still restrained, never loud.
  • Stealth and detail: the Black Seal, with its nine o’clock small-seconds — the piece watch people examine.
  • Undecided between brands? The Royal Oak-inspired octagons are this collection’s geometric opposite; the Omega-inspired Moonwatch dials share its instrument DNA with a chronograph face.

Hanging and care

  • Height: centre the dial around 160 cm — standing eye level, where a date wheel is actually readable.
  • Fixing: stud or rated wall plug for a steel-and-glass build.
  • Indoors only: no water resistance — the marine heritage is a design language, not a spec sheet.
  • Battery: one AA cell; replace before it runs flat, as leakage is excluded from cover.
  • Cleaning: dry microfibre on glass and case; never open the case.

Panerai wall clock FAQ

Are these clocks made or endorsed by Panerai?

No. Clocks Atelier is an independent design studio; every piece here is a watch-inspired decorative wall clock designed and sold by us — not manufactured, licensed or endorsed by Officine Panerai, and not a watch or a replica of one. Radiomir describes the design language the clocks refer to.

Does the date really work?

Yes — all three editions carry a working date wheel with automatic date change. It is a genuine mechanical function, not printed artwork, and the only brand collection in our range where every single clock has it.

What size and materials are these clocks?

All three are 35 cm / 13.8 in in diameter — our core wall format — in premium 304L stainless steel with a tempered glass front, powered by a single AA battery.

Is the clock water resistant, like the watches that inspired it?

No. These are indoor decorative wall clocks with no water resistance — bathrooms, covered patios and outdoor walls are all out, and moisture damage is excluded from warranty cover. The dive heritage lives in the design, not the spec sheet.

Do the dials glow in the dark?

The marker styling is drawn from the luminous instrument dials of the originals, but we make no glow-performance promise. For genuine night reading, give the wall ambient light and choose the Silver Seal for maximum contrast.

Which edition has the sub-dial?

The Black Seal carries a small-seconds sub-dial at nine o’clock — the classic Radiomir position. The Silver Seal and Silver Orange keep clean two-hand-and-date dials.

Are there Luminor-style clocks in this collection?

Not currently — the collection focuses on the Radiomir cushion-case language. If it expands, this page is where new editions appear first; meanwhile the three Seals cover the silver-to-blackout spectrum of the look.

Is a 35 cm clock big enough for my room?

For most rooms, yes — 35 cm reads comfortably to four or five metres. For open-plan spaces and long sightlines, consider our 40 cm large formats; the Radiomir language itself currently comes in 35 cm only.

Who is this collection best for as a gift?

Divers, sailors, military-history enthusiasts and anyone whose style runs to field gear over jewellery. The working date makes it the most practical gift in our brand collections — and the Black Seal is the piece for someone who already owns the obvious choices.

What warranty do these clocks carry?

A 2-year warranty on the movement, covering manufacturing defects affecting normal timekeeping. Batteries and leakage, broken glass, impact, water exposure, outdoor use and unauthorised repair are excluded — full terms on the warranty page.

Do you ship worldwide, and what about returns?

Yes — tracked worldwide delivery on every order. Shipping timings, destinations and the current returns terms are set out on the shipping and returns page; if anything arrives damaged, contact us with photos and your order number and we resolve it.

Equipment for the wall

Three editions, one uncompromising design language, and the only collection where every dial carries a working date. Restraint has never been this easy to hang.
