Yacht-Master or Yacht-Master II?
The collection divides into two groups, and they behave differently on a wall. Worth knowing before you pick a colour.
Yacht-Master — the quieter three
Gold and black, steel and white vintage, steel and black. Darker, simpler dials and the more restrained of the two groups. These are the ones that read as a serious design object rather than a sports piece, and all three offer the Cyclops lens option.

Yacht-Master II — the bolder four
Silver and blue, silver and white, gold and blue, rose gold and blue. Lighter dials with a strong coloured bezel — the blue is what you notice first. This is where the nautical character is most obvious.

The seven combinations
Bezel first, dial second. The bezel is the part that has to agree with the metal already in your room.
Gold + black
The warmest
A gold bezel against a black dial — the highest-contrast warm pairing in the collection. Reads formal and expensive. Strongest on pale or mid-grey walls, and the natural pick if your room already has brass fittings.
Steel + white vintage
The detailed one
A brushed steel-style bezel with a vintage white dial, luminous hour markers and a red second hand. The only design here with a genuine accent colour on the hands, and the most interesting at close range.
Steel + black
The all-rounder
Black dial, black-and-steel bezel. The most neutral piece in the collection and the easiest to place — it behaves like a well-made instrument rather than a statement.
Silver + blue
The classic nautical
Blue bezel with a silver case and a white-and-blue dial. The clearest expression of the nautical idea, and the most legible of the Yacht-Master II group thanks to the light dial.
Silver + white
The lightest
Grey-and-silver bezel with a white-and-blue dial. The quietest of the four bolder designs — choose it if you want the nautical reference without a strong block of colour on the wall.
Gold + blue
The showpiece
Gold bezel against blue. The most assertive combination we make in this collection, and the one that needs a plain wall and some clear space to work properly.
Rose gold + blue
The specialist
Rose gold with blue is genuinely uncommon on a wall clock. It suits blush, taupe and warm neutral interiors, and looks out of place against cool chrome or stainless kitchen fittings.
The Cyclops lens option, explained
Three designs in this collection — gold and black, steel and white vintage, and steel and black — can be ordered with either a normal glass front or a glass front carrying a small magnifying lens over the date window.
On a wristwatch that lens exists for a practical reason: it makes a tiny date legible at arm’s length. At 35 cm the date is already perfectly readable, so on a wall clock the lens is a design decision rather than a functional one. What it actually does is add a visible optical detail to the glass — a small raised bubble that catches light and marks the piece out as a faithful nod to the original design language.
Choose normal glass if…
- You want the flattest, cleanest possible front
- The clock will hang opposite a window, where a raised lens adds another reflection
- You prefer the design to read as understated
Choose the Cyclops lens if…
- You want the detail watch people notice immediately
- The clock is going somewhere it will be seen close up

Where it works
The nautical character suits some rooms far better than others.
- Lounges and bars. The natural home for the blue-bezel designs. Colour and metal both read well under warm lighting.
- Studies and libraries. Gold and black, or steel and black. Dark dials suit panelled walls and bookshelves.
- Coastal and boat interiors. Blue and silver, for obvious reasons. Keep it well away from spray and damp air.
- Home offices. Steel and black is the most legible and least distracting on a working wall.
- Hallways. The steel and white vintage design, where its luminous markers and red second hand are seen close up.
- Clubs and commercial interiors. Consistent 35 cm sizing lets you hang two or three bezel colours as a set.
Yacht-Master or another Rolex wall clock?
All of our watch-inspired collections use the same 35 cm steel build and silent sweeping movement. Dial and bezel character is what separates them.
Submariner
The closest in spirit — a graduated bezel and a tool-watch character, usually in black or green. Less colour, more utility.
Datejust
The formal alternative: fluted bezels, a date window and gold or rose gold. Choose Datejust for a dress-watch look rather than a nautical one.
GMT-Master
The other two-colour bezel collection. If you like the blue here but want a travel reference and a 24-hour scale, start there.
Oyster Perpetual
If the bezel matters less to you than the dial colour. Ten single-colour dials on one polished silver bezel.
Mounting and care
Before you hang it
- Match the bezel to your metal. Hold the finish against your existing handles, lamps and frames rather than against the wall colour. This matters more here than in any other collection.
- Let a two-tone bezel breathe. These designs carry more visual information at the edge than a plain clock, so they want clear wall around them — roughly 55 cm of span, above furniture 60–100 cm wide, dial centred near 160 cm.
- Think about reflections. If you have chosen the Cyclops lens, avoid the wall directly facing a window.
Keeping it right
- Nautical styling, indoor clock. Despite the theme these are not water resistant. Keep them out of bathrooms, unheated conservatories, covered outdoor areas and salt air.
- Fresh alkaline AA. One cell runs the clock. Replace it before it runs flat — battery leakage is excluded from warranty cover.
- Clean the glass only. Dry or barely damp microfibre. Never spray cleaner at the case, and take extra care around a raised Cyclops lens.
- Mount into something solid. A stud or a properly rated wall plug, not a picture hook in plasterboard.

Are these clocks made or endorsed by Rolex?
No. Clocks Atelier is an independent design studio and these are watch-inspired decorative wall clocks designed and sold by us. They are not manufactured, licensed, endorsed by or affiliated with Rolex SA or any watch manufacturer, and they are not watches or replicas of watches. Brand names are used descriptively, to indicate the design language a clock refers to.
What is the Cyclops lens option?
On three designs you can choose either a normal glass front or a glass front with a small magnifying lens over the date window. At 35 cm the date is already easy to read, so the lens is a visual detail rather than a functional one — it adds a raised optical element that catches light and is the feature watch enthusiasts spot first. The case, dial and movement are identical either way.
What is the difference between Yacht-Master and Yacht-Master II here?
In our range, the three Yacht-Master designs have darker, simpler dials in black or vintage white and offer the Cyclops lens option. The four Yacht-Master II designs pair lighter white-and-blue dials with a strong coloured bezel in blue with silver, grey, gold or rose gold. The II group is the bolder and more obviously nautical of the two.
Which bezel colours are available?
Across the seven designs: gold, rose gold, silver, grey, black and blue, in two-tone pairings. This is the widest bezel choice of any of our Rolex-inspired collections. Match the finish to the metal hardware already in the room rather than to the wall colour.
What size are the clocks?
All seven are 35 cm (13.8 in) in diameter — about the width of a vinyl record sleeve. The consistent sizing makes it easy to hang two or three different bezel colours together. For something larger, see our large wall clocks.
Do any of them have a date display?
Yes — the steel and white vintage design displays the date, and it is the design on which the optional magnifying lens makes most visual sense. Most others display hours, minutes and seconds. Check the individual product page for the design you are considering.
Are the movements silent?
Yes. Every clock uses a silent sweeping quartz movement, so the second hand glides continuously instead of stepping once per second. There is no audible tick.
What warranty is included?
A 2-year warranty on the movement, covering manufacturing defects that affect normal timekeeping. Excluded are batteries and battery leakage, broken glass, scratches and impact damage, water exposure and outdoor use, and incorrect installation or unauthorised repair. Do you ship worldwide?

Can I hang one on a boat or in a coastal bathroom?
We would not recommend it. The styling is nautical but the clock is an indoor decorative piece and is not water resistant. Salt air, spray, humidity and condensation all affect the movement and the steel finish, and moisture damage is excluded from warranty cover. A dry cabin interior or a coastal living room is fine.
How is it powered?
One AA battery. Batteries are not always included with shipment, so have a fresh alkaline AA ready when the clock arrives — a new cell keeps the sweeping movement running evenly from the start.
Is this a good gift for a watch enthusiast?
It is one of the better choices in our range, mainly because of the Cyclops option — it is a detail enthusiasts recognise instantly and it signals that the piece was chosen with some understanding.
