Large Wall Clocks

The collection’s signature format is 40 cm / 16 in in diameter — noticeably larger than our core 35 cm wall format, with roughly a third more dial area. A small number of XL Rolex-inspired designs in the collection use their own oversized specifications, listed on each product page.

On most residential walls, yes. Statement scale is relative: on a 3 m wall a 40 cm dial occupies the same visual weight that a 60 cm dial would on a commercial-height wall, while staying legible up close — oversized skeleton clocks often are not. It is the largest format we make and the sweet spot between presence and readability.

Open-plan living areas, double-height hallways and stairwells, offices and reception spaces, and any room where the main viewing distance exceeds four metres. For compact rooms and gallery walls of several clocks, the 35 cm core collection usually sits in better proportion.

No. Clocks Atelier is an independent design studio, and every piece here is a watch-inspired decorative clock designed and sold by us — not manufactured, licensed or endorsed by any watch brand, and not a watch or a replica of one. Brand and model names describe the design language a clock refers to.

The sub-dials, calendar rings, moon-phase displays and world-time rings on these dials are decorative — faithful to the layout of the watches that inspired them, but printed or applied artwork rather than working mechanisms. The clock itself keeps real time with a quality quartz movement. We would rather tell you that here than let a product photo imply otherwise.

Not these. Every clock in the collection uses a silent sweeping quartz movement — the second hand glides continuously instead of stepping, so there is no tick regardless of dial size. A large clock in a bedroom or on a video-call wall stays completely silent.

These are metal-and-glass builds, so treat every piece as a real object: fix into a stud or use a wall plug rated well beyond the clock’s weight, never a bare plasterboard picture hook. Start from centre-at-160 cm, then adjust up: statement formats viewed from across a room can sit 10–15 cm higher than standard dials, and on double-height walls the clock should relate to the wall’s full volume. Above furniture, keep 20–30 cm of clear wall beneath the case.

A single AA battery driving a silent sweeping quartz movement. Use a fresh alkaline cell — large hands demand more torque than small ones, so a half-drained battery that would run a small clock can make a large one lag. Battery leakage is excluded from warranty cover, so replace cells before they run flat.

Often, yes. The Patek Philippe–inspired families also exist in the core 35 cm format on the Patek-inspired collection page, and Speedmaster-style dials in the Omega-inspired collection. Rolex-inspired designs run across eight sub-collections from the Rolex hub.

The same as the whole range: a 2-year warranty on the movement, covering manufacturing defects that affect normal timekeeping. Broken glass, impact damage, water exposure, outdoor use, battery leakage and unauthorised repair are excluded. Full terms are on the warranty page.
